Account Creation and Deactivation

The lifetime of your My.UNL account corresponds to the length of your relationship with UNL. Your account will remain active as long as you have a current relationship with the insitution. Once your relationship ends, your account will be disabled and you will no longer be able to access services. Your relationship is determined by your account information in the Student Information System (NeSIS/MyRed) or HR System (SAP).

Account Creation

Employees will have their account created once their information has been entered in to SAP, including future appointments.

Students will have their account created once their respective admissions office (Undergraduate/Graduate/Law) has marked them as eligible to enroll.

Account Deactivation

Employees

Emeriti maintain an ongoing relationship with the institution, and will stay active until the HR office receives a death notice (DN).

Retirees are eligible for some benefits for life, and will stay active until the HR office receives a death notice (DN).

All other employees that leave the institution will be deactivated on the last day of their appointment OR separation date, if they have no Keep Services Active (KSA) date. Once any KSA dates have expired, the account will be deactivated.

Employees that are separated with-cause will have their account deactivated immediately.

Students

Student accounts will be deactivated after two terms of no enrolled courses.
